Who We Are
JB Horizons LP is a partnership between C&C Horizons Contracting Ltd (a Musqueam member owned company) and Jacob Bros Construction Inc.
JB Horizons offers clients a full spectrum of services from heavy civil to commercial building construction. Depending on the needs of our clients. JB Horizons can operate as a general contractor, construction manager, a sub-contractor or as a member of a design team.
JB Horizons has been awarded the Civil Work to construct a Duct Bank for BC Hydro. This project involves safety, environmental management, and quality management for the installation of a duct bank and pilaster, asphalt restoration, soil testing and contaminated soil disposal. The project will commence in October 2020.
JB Horizons completed the Concrete Supply for the Iona Island Wastewater Biosolid Dewatering Facility. The project involved the construction of major raft slabs to support the biomass processing equipment for the facility. The project commenced in February 2020 and the concrete supply was completed in August 2020.

JB Horizons successfully completed the restoration of Quibble Creek from flood damage. The Creek is situated in a major utility corridor including a BC Hydro 500kV Transmission line and FortisBC natural gas transmission lines. The scope of work included utility locates, permits, safety management, environment controls, quality, water diversion, fish relocation and sediment and erosion controls. The work included restoring the natural flow and relocation of erosion control features along the banks of the Creek.
JB Horizons LP was engaged by PPM Civil Constructors to provide on-site safety consulting, management and first aid services for the Maplewood Marine Restoration Project.
The Project is part of the Vancouver Port Authority’s Habitat Enhancement Program that aims to restore fish and wildlife to help maintain a balance between a healthy environment and much-needed future infrastructure growth.
The Arthur Laing Bridge's deck and sidewalks required inspection to locate failing sections, followed by concrete removal and replacement. The median barrier was cleaned and a rubber seal added. All work was performed by hand removal to maintain structural integrity, and work was performed in stages and at night to maintain traffic.
The project was performed by Jacob Bros through a partnership with a Musqueam Indian Band member-owned company and over one-third of all labour was by First Nations workers.
In celebrating the two-year anniversary of The Musqueam Indian Band – YVR Airport Sustainability and Friendship Agreement, JB Horizons LP was chosen to manage this Musqueam YVR Canoe Build project. The historic agreement provides economic and career development opportunities for members of the Musqueam community. The project involved managing a team of eight Musqueam Band members, including two artisan carvers, to work on carving a traditional Musqueam Journey Canoe out of a 35ft section of Red Cedar from Vancouver Island. The Journey Canoe will be displayed at YVR to honour the traditions and heritage of the Musqueam partners at YVR.
